“GET THE JAB” INCENTIVE PROGRAM: 95% COLLEAGUES FULLY VACCINATED

A priority for Melco during the pandemic has been to support colleagues in getting vaccinated against COVID-19, both for their personal benefit and to work towards continuity of business operations for the reassurance of guests. Melco allocated over US$2 million into its ‘Get the Jab’ immunity incentive program for colleagues in Macau and Hong Kong.

In the Philippines, where access to vaccines was initially challenging, the Company went ahead and purchased vaccines for colleagues.

In Cyprus, incentives for colleagues to get vaccinated were introduced.

Overall, the programs have been immensely successful, with more than 95% of colleagues fully vaccinated.

  • 8-day onsite vaccination drive administering 4,300 doses to colleagues and family
  • US$125 to every vaccinated colleague

  • Educational sessions with Department of Health
  • 2 days paid leave to get the jab; shuttle buses provided to vaccination sites
  • 3 days special paid leave to take children under 18 and elderly parents to get vaccinated
  • Purchased US$270,000 worth of vaccines for Manila colleagues in early days when availability was challenging
  • €833,000 cash incentives for Cyprus colleagues
